Awards

“Appreciation is a wonderful thing. It makes what is excellent in others belong to us as well” 

The Oculoplastics Association of India has always been at the forefront of promoting the cause of oculoplastic surgery. At the annual meetings, OPAI for recognizes individual excellence in scientific contributions through awards. These awards have been instituted by members of the oculoplastic community and bear their name.

In addition, OPAI also has two other awards – ‘The Best Video Award’ and the ‘Best Photograph’ award. These awards acknowledge the extraordinary efforts made by members of our society to present their scientific knowledge to the oculoplastic community, in an effort to improve the practice of our specialty.

 



About OPAI

The Oculoplastics Association of India (OPAI) is dedicated to forwarding the cause of oculoplastics across the country. Founded in 1987, OPAI now has over 500 members who are dedicated to oculofacial surgery and disorders of the orbit, eyelids, eye and the lacrimal system. In the past three decades, Ophthalmic plastic surgery has earned its special identity in Indian ophthalmology. The skilled oculoplastic surgeons of the yesteryears nurtured their interest and spread the art to others. Today, this elite group has taken the shape of a healthy organization, the Oculopastics Association of India.
